Australia
We’ve been thinking a lot about our neighbors down under. We have several friends in Australia, and seeing their personal Facebook posts makes the effects of their devastating wildfires that much closer to our hearts. At Buena Vista, Australia’s animal reps are our Emus. Emus are the second- largest living bird, after ostriches (by height). They are Australia’s largest native bird and the only extant member of the genus Dromaius. Alpacas
Hopefully you’ve already heard about the latest addition to our Petting Zoo. We keep trying to get a good picture of her, but Papa (“Benjamin Button”) likes to photo bomb. You’ll just have to come see her in person! Mama (“Flaca”) and baby are doing well, and it’s time to name baby. Watch for a FB Live video next week as we start our first naming contest for the decade!
